Pronounced ‘furry car key’; this is a traditional Japanese seasoning of black and white sesame seeds, seaweed and red shiso leaves. Traditionally used with rice, it’s delicious sprinkled over vegetables, salads, pasta dishes, and stir-fries. Furikake is an extremely versatile, tasty table condiment, excellent in both Japanese and Western dishes.
