Mepilex Border Comfort 15 x 20cm is a self-adherent, absorbent foam dressing designed for the management of exuding acute and chronic wounds. It combines exclusive Flex Technology with a Safetac wound contact layer to provide adaptability, secure placement and gentle dressing removal.
The five-layer construction effectively spreads, absorbs and retains exudate while helping maintain a moist wound environment. Its waterproof outer layer helps protect the wound from dirt and bacteria, while the Exudate Progress Monitor provides a dot pattern to help healthcare professionals track fluid dispersal without disturbing the wound.

Suitable For
Mepilex Border Comfort is suitable for exuding acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, skin abrasions and traumatic or surgical wounds. It can also be used for prevention of pressure injury or tissue damage when selected and applied according to clinical practice.
How to Use
Select the appropriate 15 x 20cm dressing and ensure the wound pad overlaps the dry surrounding skin by at least 1–2cm. Cleanse the wound according to clinical practice and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the first release film and apply the adherent side to the wound, then remove the remaining liners and smooth the border onto the skin without stretching.
Mepilex Border Comfort may be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or as indicated by clinical practice. The dressing can be used under compression bandaging.
Important Information
Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to the product components. Do not use with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide. If signs of infection occur, including fever or redness, warmth or swelling of the wound or surrounding skin, consult a healthcare professional. Do not reuse or re-sterilise. Use only if the sterile barrier is intact and undamaged.
The polyurethane foam may become more yellow when exposed to light, air or heat. This colour change does not affect product properties when used before the expiry date. Any serious incident associated with the product should be reported to Mölnlycke Health Care and the relevant local competent authority. Dispose of the dressing according to local procedures.
